The Western name ACUPUNCTURE has Latin roots, and is not the
name given to the method by the Chinese, who called it chen
chiu.
Acupuncture
has its origins in China, dating back more than
2,500 years.
Acupuncture
involves
stimulation
of
certain
points on or under the skin, mostly with ultrafine needles
that are manipulated manually.
361 acupuncture points were originally identified for stimulation,
but today approximately 2,000 points are recognized by licensed
acupuncturists.
Modern
stainless steel acupuncture needles vary in length
from a half-inch up to 8 inches, depending on which function they have, but
these slender stimulators aren't much thicker
than 0.01 inches...that's thin!
Bill uses ONLY sterile, single use disposable needles.
Payment policy and Insurance:
Payment is due at time of service and can be made by check,
cash or MC/Visa.
Some insurance companies offer acupuncture coverage.
Please check with your provider.
